What to expect from this class?
This class is the perfect introduction to Shibari for those with little to no experience with rope. It offers a comprehensive overview, covering key topics such as the history of Shibari, essential health and safety practices, the importance of consent, and the technical fundamentals. Additionally, you'll have plenty of time for hands-on practice to build confidence and refine your skills.
By the end of the class, you’ll not only have a solid understanding of Shibari, but also feel inspired and empowered to apply your new knowledge in a safe, informed, and creative way.
Who can come to this class?
This class welcomes anyone interested in exploring rope bondage, whether you want to learn how to tie or experience being tied. No prior experience with rope is necessary—this is a beginner-friendly and welcoming space for all.
We encourage participants to come as they are, individually or with a partner. This is a safe, judgment-free event where curiosity and learning are celebrated. Everyone will be able to engage in a way that feels comfortable and consensual for them.
What should I bring and what do I wear?
We have ropes you can use during the class. People usually wear comfortable clothing like yoga or dance attire. We advise against loose fitting clothing and also jeans can sometimes feel a bit restrictive to move around in and difficult to tie on.
